I met Ilada through a Hangout in Bangkok. I had requested her to host me in Penang last month, but unfortunately, she was unable to host me at that time. We also joined a Hangout, but unfortunately, we were unable to meet in Penang at that time. She was also traveling, and I was also traveling to Thailand. When it was my last day in Thailand, she was also traveling through Thailand. hello! On the first day I arrived very late and tired from the long trip, she invited me to go see a local market, and there we went. A market that only exists once a week, and where tourists do not come. Real local experience. It was a very fun experience to see the diversity of foods, smells, colors, and stalls selling vegetables and other things. and all at a good price. She is help with information about things to do in the city, and we talk about travels. The place is very comfortable and clean, I had a room to myself, there is even a pool if you want, and the location is a little far from Georgetown but there are buses that connect it, and I spent my second day walking and getting to know the beautiful city, I arrived very late too and she let me use the kitchen to make me something to eat, thanks for that!

I stayed with ilda for 2 nights and during the little time we shared together she was pretty cool and fun had a nice talk about everything and nothing.
She is pretty knowledgeable about a lot of things wish makes the conversation very interesting and full of new informations to learn from

Being in Penang, I had no plans on how long to stay there and one evening during a hangout Ilada offered to let me stay with her. This allowed me to see Penang from a different perspective, the stay was comfortable, I got a bedroom like a hotel room.

I felt a lot of freedom, most of the time I was outside and when I came back we had a chance to talk. One evening she went out to a party I stayed alone and relaxed. There were never any unnecessary questions or pressure to spend time together. There was also no complaining that we didn't spend time together. A very good balance.

In the morning Ilada asked me if I wanted coffee. In the evening when we ordered food for me through she even went to pick it up herself.

I had a very good stay at Ilada’s, good chats and relaxing time in the pool. The area is well connected to George Town with buses and the building is right in front of the bus stop, during peak times it might take a while for the bus to come though.
Ilada advised me about Penang and as my next destination was Thailand also gave some tips for that, I really appreciate it.
She’s very kind and easy going, despite her long hours working she is able to be present for her guests and be interested in their travels and experiences.

ilada is a flexible and understanding host. She has some rules but she may not specify them so that you feel comfortable at home. Therefore, you need to ask first for things you want to do at home. I stayed with Ilada for 2 nights and I could say it was a pleasant stay. She accepted my request shortly after I messaged her. It felt like staying with a sister. Her condo is located near to the airport and took a grab car will be really convenient to go to city center & airport. She gave me a clean private room with a giant fan. She borrowed me her spare key and access card to her place. She invited me to join her hanged out in Georgetown at Friday night. I was introduced to a cool bar in town named The Pokok & danced the night away at another bar named Prime. We ate Shawarma at nearby stall to sober up before moving from The Pokok and Prime. We talked about many different things, she is kind, friendly & very knowledgeable. I just knew from her that in Malaysia, they don’t have motor taxi because of the Syaria Law since Malaysia is an Islamic Country. Definitely recommend her to be your host/surfer. I had the best time with Illada. She made me very comfortable and has a great sense of hospitality. She even gave me great suggestions for Georgetown. Her house is very clean and she does everything to make share you’ll have a comfortable stay at her place. I reached late at night and it was still okay with her. I contacted Ilada asking to be hosted for a few days in Penang. She replied swiftly, providing me with all the necessary information on how to reach her apartament, as well as, information about all worthwhile tourist attractions in Penang.

Once I arrived in her apartment she greeted me dressed in her beautiful leopard dress. From the moment I laid eyes on her I could feel the butterflies in my stomach. She took my breath away, however, I stayed cool. I didn't want to let her see how in awe she made me feel. From that point onwards my adoration for her only grew. The pool was nice and the condo very spacious. Ilada is friendly, when I arrived there was an error with the location but she ordered me a grab which took me to her place! She is currently moving to another apartment, so the facilities will change.

Ilada gets a 10/10 for hospitality and helpfulness! We had fun conversations together; she gave me tons of insight on Thai and Malaysian culture, and taught me a lot about both. The stay in the IIada apartment was a pleasure❤️. The host clearly addressed the apartments and described all the attractions on the island of Penang. The apartment is clean and has a great view from the balcony. I had the opportunity to go out for dinner with IIada, try and learn something about Thai cuisine. However, IIada itself is lovely. You can talk to her freely on any topic, and there is a atmosphere in her house 😅. If you are planning to visit Penang, I wholeheartedly recommend IIade as a host😁

At first it felt different because I didn't know the concept of nudist. But ilada knows how to relax you. I disturbed her once while she was working, I hope you're not mad at me. It was fun staying here.

I stayed at Ilada’s just one day because her place was pretty far from what I wanted to see in Penang. But the house was beautiful, very clean, bedroom super comfortable and Alida’s was nice. She looked a little awkward at the beginning because she was really busy but eventually I had very nice talks with her: give her the time! :)
She explained me about the nudist approach but she also allowed me to feel free not to do it and even if she insist in giving me the right informations about it I felt safe and comfortable. I loved my time with Ilada. She is nice, easygoing, flexible. She helped me with everything even to book my flight home on a very good price. She is working during the day, but she is very okay whatever you do. She gave me keys so I could come and go as I wished. I very enjoyed this freedom when I stayed at her because many hosts expect from you to hang out with them a lot. Ilada is fine with everything. She also made me thai tea which was delicious, but be careful it is really hard to sleep after you drank it. Hahaha.

Ilada was really nice and helpfull. As she says, she prefer to host nudists but if you are not it's definetly okay, she respect your feelings and wouldn't walk undressed if you're not comfortable with that. Ilada lives in a south part of Georgetown in a cool apartments with swimming pool and gym. She was so nice that called a taxi for me, when i stuck hitchiking in 20km distance from the city. Mostly she was busy with her work and i was not in so sociall mood but she helped me a lot to get closer to understand how everything in Malaysia works.

We had a nice conversation the first evening when I arrived and she is a very helpful generous person, always thinking about how can she help the guest to have the best experience. She recommended me places to visit in Penang and Thailand (my next destination), she cooked for me a super nice breakfast last day and even helped me washing my clothes. Ilada is very flexible and open minded host. Evening times we would like to chithcat with another surfer too who stay also same time with me. She has many stories to tell. Her house very clean and safe too. There is very good view from balcony.

I planned to stay at her home for one night. But I stayed for two nights. I had a lot of dirty laundry. I asked where I could wash it. She washed and dried all my clothes. We ate together and had a drink. Helped to buy tickets. She's really kind of talkative. I would definitely recommend. It also hosted many Turkish travelers. Even my friends. Türkiye'ye ve Türklere karşı bir sevgisi var :)

I stayed with Samart for 2 nights. She has a great apartment. I had my own room and she has a balcony with an amazing view of sunset! I didn’t spend much time at the apartment, but when I was there Samart was very friendly and talkative.

Samart is friendly and thoughtful. She's knowledgeable and I learnt a lot from her.

Her apartment is 15 mins drive away from the airport and 30 mins drive to George town. The grab fee isn't expensive in Penang so it's alright distance. There's a swimming pool in the building which is nice but I got cold the second so didn't get a chance to swim. The mall in Penang is cold...

The New Lane street food night market in George town is great. A lot of delicious food there.

I was going to experience nudism at her place since she's a female too but when I arrived there was another male Couch surfer so I didn't experience this time.

The whole time of staying with Samart was relaxing and flexible. The only thing I didn't like was that there were a lot of tiny ants on my bed and in the closet. I stayed 3 days and When I left there were some ants in my backpack. But I'm still grateful that Samart is kind enough to let me and so many people stay.

Samart was a great host. Had good recommendations for restaurants and things to see around Penang. Showed me how to cook a Thai dish and has a comfortable apartment.

I contacted before the day I arrive. She accepted me right away. On the day I arrive, there’re two other Couchsurfers and we had a BBQ party. She treated us very well, I am very grateful for everything. She has variety kinds of alcohol and let us drink as we want. Her room is pretty big, enough to accommodate for three people with individual room for each. There’re many choices of food around her Condo, there’re also some food courts which are pretty cheap(one meal costs around 6-15 rm).After all it was a very comfortable stay to the point where I don’t want to leave( in fact I’m still staying).

To travelers from Hat Yai.
I took a train in Hat Yai at 2pm and went through broader and took a Komuter train to Butterworth. You have to be careful of the ferry time cuz there’re not so many ferries after evening. You also have to take a bus to her place for about one hour(only 2.75rm). I arrived at around 10pm in the end( I had stomach problem so it took me more time than usual).

It was fun to stay with Samart. The room where I stayed was clean and comfortable, with AC. The apartment is spacious with a great balcony, and a nice view. There's also a shared swimming pool for the condo.

Samart was very welcoming and let you be at ease at her place. She gave me a solid list of things to do and to eat in Penang which was really useful. Also had the chance to meet other fellow couchsurfers which was really nice and we even made a small home party with the small DJ setup I had brought. Overall great experience.

I stayed with Samart 3 nights. She is so kind girl, helped me a lot, we had a good morning and evening conversations. I like her, don’t ask too much questions, I had my freedom which is important for me. And your coffee is the best one. Thank you, my sweet Thai girl ❤️

I stayed with Samart for 4 days. We shared many moments together, from the beginning she was always very kind and communication was very easy. She is a very intelligent, respectful and funny woman, with a thousand stories to tell.
From the first moment she was very attentive to me, with very funny conversations and with a lot of patience, because my English is basic 😅.
Delicious cuisine, we went twice to a club to dance and have some drinks, watch the sunset on the beach, we visited a crazy food market, and the last night on the terrace of the apartment we had a barbecue, everything was great! Her apartment is very large, tidy, the pool is spectacular, it is very close to the airport and the bus station. The place is perfect.
I definitely recommend it and hope to return to Penang and visit again.

My experiences in Malaysia weren't the best until Samart appeared and changed everything!! She is an incredibly attentive, nice and good person. I'm infinitely grateful to her. She has a house with an amazing view and a pool that is perfect for these hot days. We shared a lot of talks and went out to bars where we also had a great time. This was my first time couchsurfing and I had a really good experience staying with Samart! She's a really friendly and chill person, really fun to be around. Her place is really nice and she took me to some good local spots in the evenings, she also gave me lots of ideas of cool things to do around Penang. I felt very welcome at her place, I would definitely reccomend other people to stay with her! :)

Samart's flat is well located, far from the traffic of Georgetown, in a perfect position to explore all Penang Island. The flat is very spacious and comfortable, with also a balcony and shared swimming pool. Samart is very nice and welcoming, she will do everything to make you feel at home and will give local recommendations. I stayed at her place for 3 nights and, when we had opportunity to talk and share experiences, it was always precious time 😊 I definitely recommend to visit her!

An absolutely amazing human being.
Samart gives you a very free reign with simple rules to follow, making the stay an absolute breeze, on top of being very warm, welcoming and just fun to be around. My request was quickly answered by Samart, she is a very sunny and cheerful girl. Even though it was only a short stay, I still felt her kindness and easygoing and really a nice person to be with. Samart's Thai sauce is delicious, I think it will be a real stroke of luck if you have the chance to taste the Thai food she made. So if you send her a request and she decides to host you, then you can definitely look forward to meeting her! Of course, maybe you can also confirm if there are other guests during the same period if you care.

Even if 6i was more into exploring I had really good time with samart.
It's an interesting experience to discover good things and real life.

Samart is super kind, funny and will tell you all the places to go, how to get there etc! I arrived late at night and she was there waiting for me when the taxi arrived. All the things to do are sent in a whatapp text to have available during your stay!
I was a bit tired during my stay, post minor surgery from Thailand but Samart allowed me to stay longer than expected and I was able to rest and take some much needed time to myself. Very grateful for my stay and for some much needed rest and recovery.

Fun host with great personality. I love to ask questions especially tech related. She is open-mindend, spicy Thai and can cook really spicy meals. Samart’s place is incredible. Nice apartment in a condo, with beautiful gardens and sport facilities. It is located close to the airport, there are mountains and hills nearby which are ideal for hiking, it is also convenient to take a bus to George Town.

K'Wan responded to my public trip announcement, and invited me into her spacious home with open arms during my spontaneous short trip to Penang. She is super friendly and hospitable, and has the most helpful standard welcome whatsapp message that I have come across yet (I'll adopt that for my own guests).

While we didn't get to spend too much time together mainly due to both of us busy with work, I had a wonderful time, and hope to meet her again :-)

Samart is excellent host. Very friendly and flexible with her schedule. We could talk a lot a she even cooked for me and it was delicious. 😋 I really enjoyed the time with her.

Samart was a very nice lady. She told me exactly all the informations I needed to get there the easiest way from Georgetown. When I arrived, she already waited downstairs in front of the building to meet me on time.
She even offered me a welcome drink as soon as I entered the appartment, which I really could use after the long bus ride to get there. So yeah we had good long talks until later in the evening and she also showed me the great view from the balcony. And what was very friendly too, I could do my laundry for free there (just washing) that was very useful for me and nice from her.
At the next morning she showed/told me to order a InDriver to the bus station, because it‘s cheaper than Grab, which was a „good to know“ info about malaysia too.
I think she is an experienced couchsurfer-host, as she already hosted a lot of different surfers.
All in all a very good experience. :)

She I invited me to stay two nights in her room, unfortunately I could stay only one night because second day I rent close from monkey beach and her house was far from there and I can not get that place in early mornings and missing the sunrise. In total she is nice person and try to help me (thank you for that).
