From the first evening we met, we walked all through Minsk and Yuri showed me its monuments, its avenues, its living history from the past through to the present...we walked and talked and then kept talking until daylight...and in many ways that conversation still continues :-D Yuri is such an interesting person and interested in so many things, so full of energy and passion for the things he enjoys, and genuinely curious about the people he meets. We had many animated discussions about many subjects, and stayed up very, very late watching quite a variety of films and series...it was a great way to discover new films and share my favorites as well, and the list just keeps growing longer, lol. Thank you, Yuri, for hosting me, for sharing your home and your city, for giving me the tools I needed to explore it on my own, and for letting me try new recipes in your kitchen :-) Definitely a language and culture exchange to remember!
