Before writing about Tommy, I'd like to say that I've been using CS for 6 years for now and during this time I have had many hosts and different experiences of living in many countries. And even despite this fact, my stay with Tommy was still unique and amazing. I unexpectedly found an atmosphere that brought me back to the best time of my student's life, where there was a place for music, creativity and art.

Tommy is a wonderful person and an incredibly talented musician. The 1st one commands my respect, and the 2nd - my endless admiration. Aina is one of the best guests I've ever had. She is a very independent, self-sufficient and experienced traveler. Vlad was my first CS host in Colombia. Despite the fact that I arrived at his place at 4.30 am, he kindly met me at the entrance. Juan Pablo helped us a lot: he allowed us to leave our heavy backpacks at his place while we were traveling to other places and allowed us to stay with him for five nights, although we originally planned to stay for a shorter period. I am always extremely pleased to communicate with such positive and smart people. I felt as if we had known each other for a hundred years! Our conversations could last for hours, until one of us was about to fall asleep!))) But it was so interesting and inspiring, that no one wants to finish :)
The time we spent together will be remembered by me forever: we burned a bonfire in the desert, played the guitar on the beach, baked bread in the sand and drank camel milk.🏜️ There were an amazing days in Nouakchott and I am absolutely happy that we had a chance to spend time together!!

We left Agadir just recently, but I already miss Hicham and his wonderful family! They are very hospitable and friendly people! What I liked most about Pasha – is that for each host and, as far as I know, even for each driver (when he do hitchhiking) he gives a personalized postcard. Besides that, not only gives, but also signs it! I think this is a very good way to show people that you value their efforts, as well as the opportunity to say thanks for their help and leave good memories about yourself. Bravo, Pasha! The most memorable country of my European trip was Switzerland. And first of all, this happened thanks to such a wonderful person as Terry.
We talked about everything in the world - from personal situations to the discussion of high arts - music, ballet, musicals! I showed him my favourite Russian rock-opera and was so glad that he liked it!
I spent just three days in Basel, but there were so many events that it seemed that I lived there for two weeks! We went to Bern, walked around night Basel, visited a night open-air cinema, rode together on an electric scooter, spent several hours in a spa center (God, it was just wonderful, piece of paradise on Earth!) and in the morning of my last day in Switzerland even rafted down the river! I have no words to express my admiration and gratitude!

The kindest host ever. It' all you need to know, if you will decide to visit him.
My first plan was to stay at his place just one night, but I got sick and stayed for a few more days. During that time we walked a lot together, visited Paris, observe many sightseeings.We also talked a lot - almost about everything: politics, economics, differences between countries and mentality and of course, music and arts) On my last evening I realized that I missed one classical thing, which you definitely should do in France: I didn't try coffee and croissants. I was upset, because it was too late to do that. But in the morning, exactly before I leave Paris, there was a surprise: croissants for the breakfast. Isn't that sweet?!) I believe, that he belongs to the type of totally sincere people, who're always try to do their best from all their hearts- and i really appreciate it.
Please, if you come to his place - take care of him for me - he is very nice, carring and deserves the best relations🙏

For the first time on my travelling - I met a person that I could call my "bro"!))) He is sooo incredibly open, very helpful and hospitable!!! Art is a highly educated person, I was amazed how well he knows the history, having really broad outlook. He is an excellent storyteller and the time you spend together will be filled with new information for you. Art is very responsible in receiving guests. He picked me up by car, despite the fact I arrived in the late evening. I like, that exploring city started just right after arriving: on the way home we stopped at one of the sights of the city, and in the next two days Art took me a few more. Art himself traveled a lot, so you can share your experience about different countries. He is a big fan of Iceland and knows a lot about this country: he inspired me to go there. In addition, I found out, that I have something in common with Art and his girlfriend Katrin: we like intellectual games. I was very pleased and it was great to have an opportunity to discuss it with someone abroad. Art and Katrin, thank you so much for everything! I hope we will see you again!🙏

Tuomo is an incredible man, honestly! Probably, he left his nimbus somewhere for recharging, otherwise, I am sure, we all would have witnessed the shine above his head!) During the days I spent in Finland - we walked together (he is an excellent guide and knows a lot about the history of Finland!) and even visit the sea fortress at the island!

On this trip I was a little tight on money and Tuomo kindly helped me with the ferry ticket! And also after we experienced a heavy rain - he put my shoes in a special machine to dry! It is difficult to describe how grateful am I for that!

I stayed with him with another girl from Russia and we cooked soup together, and he treated us with the national pasta dish. In the evening we watched a movie or funny videos - this also contributes to the development of warm relationship!

His house has strict rules, so be sure to be careful and polite! thus, you will not only say "thank you" to the owner, but also create a good impression of your country!

Andrew was my first host in Europe. He kindly responded to my request for an overnight stay and helped me to figure out how to reach his place. His location is pretty close to the centre - and it's really convenient to get there.
I slept on a separate mattress, he also provided a blanket and a pillow. He shared tea with cookies with me and patiently listened to my numerous stories! :D I would describe him as a calm, unobtrusive person. Among other things, Andrei kindly agreed to hold my backpack for a couple of days: it helped me to spend that time without carrying heavy luggage.

Kedar is an absolutely wonderful person. He is friendly, hospitable and very easy-going :) From the first minute of our acquaintance, I felt completely comfortable as if we had been friends for a long time. On the first day we chatted incessantly for several hours. We walked a lot, took pictures, and then went to his house, where I was able to take a shower, and he treated me with national Nepalese food. But what impresses me most - is his ability of being caring. He genuinely cares about your affairs and needs. He literally tries to do his best in taking care of you. It is very impressive and, of course, I am happy that I met such a great and kind person.

It was Alexander's first time using Couchsurfing as a guest, so I really tried to do my best to show him the hospitality and involve him into that project. After I sent an open request to Dubai community, that I would like to stay there and explore the city - I got more then 100(!!) responses. It was very hard to choose, because I was a little bit scary to get in contact with people with no references. So I have no idea, how I did a right choice: picked a Tahir's offer from many others!) Probably, it was my 6th sense) Anyway, somehow I decided to contact him - and I definitely happy about my choice))Mostly in his personality I like the fact that he is not drinking and smoking.He is also very kind man with nice sense of humor)
He organized the picnic in the desert and I appreciate how he tried to do his best to make that journey comfortable for us. We spent a night in the desert (there were 7 of us) and also visited a lake on the next day.The additional benefit during the trip: he took his camera and made a lot of pictures, so I could save that memories not only in my heart,but also on my computer and Instagram:D I totally recommend him!)

It's going to be hard for me to give an objective reference to Anton, because after I spent 5 days at his place - I feel that we are like old, old friends!)) Even before we meet in a real life - I realized that we are soulmates, so I think that I got a big luck to have him as a host! I feel so much comfortable at his house - as if I am at home! Oussama is very nice and intelligent guy. It seems that he knows a lot, so it is interesting to talk to him. Our meeting with Gregor was like a miracle! The first evening, which we spent together, just flew by so fast: we could not stop talking to each other - it was so interesting and fascinating to communicate. Well, the end of the evening was just some kind of extravaganza! Gregor played the guitar, I sang a song and then I decided, why not show him the chords- he will play and I'll sing. In total, we got a real creative duet! The mood was absolutely amazing and the result was so inspiring that the next morning after visiting Mariastein Abbey we decided to make quickly a studio recording of that song :) We had just half an hour (because that day I had to fly to Hungary), but despite the fact, that we were really short of time, final version turned out fabulous ^^

Ganjar's house - is one of the most interesting places where I ever stayed. Well, where else there would be an opportunity to be a teacher for Indonesian children?) Ganjar was very kind to me. When it turned out that I was seriously ill - and could not leave my place in Sidoarjo, because I got a fever and had no strength - Ganjar came there to pick me up! It was almost two hours driving by motorcycle, but it didn't stop him!
He also has a wonderful family and very caring parents. They tried to help me get well as soon as possible and I even experienced the traditional Indonesian Kerokan massage!) I was sooooo excited about this host! He and his family are really kind and open-minded people! We have a group of 10 ppl and 6 of us decided to stay for the night in the harbour's hall just because we didn't find where to stay. But when Perry's parents got an information about this situation - they invited all of us to their house! It was just incredible, unbelievable!
